‘Soul Cleansing’ is the word that one reminiscences when one hears the melodious strains of Neyveli Santhanagopalan’s music that is drenched in bhakti and bhava. This has come with his concerted and dedicated efforts to go back to his roots, empathise with the feelings of composers, emulate their lives for brief spells, gain from the music of the great yester-year artistes and then internalise to sing, as it may seem, with the tremendous well-wishes of all these ancestors hailing from the grand music lineage.
