PunBB hacked by Altan's
Ah...
The forums at carnatic.com was using PunBB and it has been "Hacked By Altan's"
Deleting the folder and all files !
At PunBB.org, I see PunBB 1.2.7 has been released. Have you updated yet? : ...Today brings the release of PunBB 1.2.7, a minor bug and vulnerability fix...
Setting up 1.2.7 - WIP - 5pm SG
6pm - I thought that the content was still there and I could just upgrade to 1.2.7 ! - But Nope... only the "user" table existed with 40 records... - Sent email to the emails - Deleting the database
Sad !!!
Need time to think about the next steps...
9pm: Checking with the webhost whether they have a good backup...
It is a little consolation that the cause was not a weak password but something else because others have been hacked as well ! PunBB.org Forums / HACKED BY ALTAN (TODAY, NOW). Even Rickard says Hmm. I wish I knew the way in which he gained access.
