Pranams
We are devotees of Sathguru Sri Gnanananda Giri Swamiji who was
sankaracharya to Jyothi Mutt, one of the four maths found by Sri Adi
Sankara Bhagavadpada. Sathguru Gnanananda was a gnani of par
excellence. He lived> a very simple yogic life. He never
discriminated between the forms of God, whether it is Siva or Vishnu
which are only different forms of the same Brahman. He welcomed all
sorts of people and presented his way of spirituality which is purely
based on love and humanity. He respected even a small boy. He had
equal vision to all his devotees whether they are rich or poor,
illeterate or learned, brahmin or non-brahmin. He fed to all who
come to his Thapovanam. He had travelled far and wide and finally
rested at Sri Gnanananda Thapovanam which is in between Tirukovilur
and Thiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu. He left his mortal body on 7th
January 1974. He was and being worshipped by many great saints,
spiritual aspirants and other devotees.
Even today his shrine and ashram gives solace to those who come there.
It is not possible to write about him fully in this email. You can
read "Sathguru Gnanananda" an english book released by Bharathiya
Vidya Bhavan during 1975 which is available even now. "Sri Gnanananda
Dharisanam" is a tamil book released by one of his disciples Swami
Nithyananda Giri which
accounts Swami's various ways of compassion poured on his devotees on
various occasions. It also gives details about his life
sketch. "Gnana Inba Veli" is a book released by the Ashram contains
