Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s 2006 National Day Rally Speeches
The PM spoke in 3 languages: English, Mandarin and Malay. When will there be a speech in Tamil ?
The Current Press Releases site SPRInter (linked to from www.gov.sg) for several minutes displayed : ..There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request..
English text of the speech in Malay
English text of the speech in Mandarin
English text of the speech in English
Why are the title texts in ALL CAPS ?

Dear sprinter administrator, see Weblog Usability: The Top Ten Design Mistakes which states ..I noticed several headlines in ALL CAPS. That’s always bad. Reading speed is reduced by 10% and users are put off by the appearance of shouting..What about the Malay, Mandarin text of the speech in English ?
Freedback for the SPRInter
The PM stated “mrbrown is a talented man” (found @ the about page: And I have a regular Friday column I USED to have a regular Friday column for TODAY newspaper.)
There was also reference to the TalkingCock
Audio and Video are available @ ChannelNewsAsia

i think the bigger question is, would a future PM being brought up in a “speak mandarin is cool!” generation will be able to speak malay fluently enough to give a speech in it? (i’m chinese btW)
