Sri. Ekambara Sasthrigal attained Sivaloha prapthi on 14/04/2003(Tamil New Year Day)at 5:00AM. Every year in April, he went to his native place (from Chennai) to perform special homams(every year he used to do)along with Sanskrit scholars and family members. He returned on 13/04/2003 evening and as a routine had darshan of Sri.Anjaneya in Ayodhya Ram Samaj, Mambalam. Next day morning did not wake up and died during his sleep itself.
